Promote a party at your club with a flier.
If you're a club promoter or simply planning a party at a club, you can create fliers to attract guests to your event. Fliers allow you to interact directly with potential club-goers and give them the information they need to attend your event. Handheld, brightly colored fliers are easy to distribute and will attract your guests' attention. You can design these fliers on your home computer and print them right at home or from a copy shop. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Open a new document in your word processor, like Microsoft Word. Set the document size to 5 inches wide by 7 inches long, a good size for a flier. The standard 8-1/2-inch-by-11-inch flier is too large for a flier, so be sure to size down.
2. Insert an image that represents your club party. Choose a picture of a past party at the club or a collage of happy club-goers at a recent event. Left or right justify the image on your flier; you will include your text on the opposing side.
3. Include an eye-catching headline for your flier. List the name of your club event. For example, if you want your flier to promote Wednesday Ladies Night, then that can be the prominent text at the top of your flier. Choose a large, bold font to draw eyes to this important text. Center it in the middle of the flier horizontally, and keep it at the top couple inches of the flier vertically.
4. List the club name in a slightly smaller font, two to four points smaller than the headline font. You want potential club-goers to know where this event is taking place, so list your club's full name and address prominently on the flier---for example, "Pulse Nightclub, 120 Main Street." If you plan to distribute fliers only in your local area, you do not have to list the city and state.
5. Provide additional information about your club party. For the ladies night example, you can list the drink specials---for example, "Two-for-one beer and well cocktails all night." If you are having a guest DJ or plan to play a certain type of music exclusively, list that information on your flier as well---"Hip-hop beats by DJ Mike G."
6. List your contact information. This information adds a personal touch to your flier, and it allows interested patrons to get more information about your club party. List your name, cell phone number or email address, and invite any inquiries. You can list this information in a small font at the bottom of your flier.
