You can earn miles through Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan.
Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air is a U.S. airline that offers flights to destinations throughout Alaska, the continental United States and Hawaii. You can sign up for Alaska Airlines' frequent flier program, Mileage Plan, to earn miles that can be used to purchase or upgrade tickets. You earn miles automatically when you fly with Alaska Air, but you can pick up extra miles for purchases you are already making.
Instructions
1. Redeem miles when you fly with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan partner airlines. Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air allow you to fly with 15 partner airlines, including British Airways, Air France, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, KLM and Korean Air. All you need to do is give your Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan number when you reserve a flight with partner airlines.
2. Rent cars with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan rental car partner companies to earn miles while you drive. You can provide your Mileage Plan number when you reserve a rental car with Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National and Thrifty. You will earn between 50 and 55 miles per day, depending on the length of your car rental.
3. Stay at Mileage Plan partner hotels to earn extra miles on vacation or when traveling. Alaska Airlines allows you to collect miles at a wide variety of partner hotels, including Aston Hotels & Resorts, Best Western, Hyatt, Marriott, Princess Lodges and Red Lion R&R Club. Each hotel uses a different system for rewarding miles.
4. Sign up for the Mileage Plan Dining program to earn miles when you dine at a wide variety of restaurants. You can sign up directly with Alaska Airlines for Mileage Plan Dining and receive up to five miles for every dollar spent at more than 10,000 restaurants in the United States and Canada. New members get perks, such as 500 bonus miles for the first $25 spent.
5. Apply for an Alaska Airlines card with Bank of America to earn miles for everyday purchases. You can choose between an Alaska Airlines Credit Card, Debit Card and Business Card and collect one mile for every dollar spent on regular purchases. You will also earn an extra 25,000 bonus miles upon approval and get three miles per dollar when you buy Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air tickets. You will also receive 1,000 bonus miles every time you purchase a ticket.
6. Book Airline Deal flights for double miles. Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air provide featured flights and special deals that allow you to collect double miles to certain destinations. Go online to the Alaska Airlines website to find a list of current flights eligible for double miles.
