Build A Princess Chair

Make a young girl feel like royalty with her own throne. With just a crown and scepter, any little girl can rule her kingdom from the comfort of her own princess chair. Simply transform an ordinary wooden chair into an elegant, regal princess chair with a few pieces of fabric and some ribbon to make her dreams come true. Ideal for a themed birthday, bedroom or just for pretend play, this princess chair can serve many purposes and bring smiles to her face for years to come. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Make an ordinary wooden chair more comfortable by attaching a cushion, pillow or square of memory foam pad to the seat and back of the chair.

2. Attach a section of firm cardboard to the back of the chair. The cardboard should extend twelve inches or more above the back of the chair to give the chair a throne-like height.

3. Cover the entire chair with a colored sheet or section of fabric. Add a layer of tulle over the fabric for an elegant appearance.

4. Wrap a long ribbon around the bottom of the back of the chair and tie the ribbon in a large bow behind the chair.

5. Gather the fabric around the front legs of the chair and use a safety pin to hold the fabric in place. Glue a bow made from ribbon on each pin.

6. Use fabric paint to write the princess's name on the chair.

7. Add adhesive rhinestones or jewels to the chair.

8. Create a matching footstool by wrapping a small box with a matching fabric. Drape tulle over it and secure it by wrapping ribbon around the outside edge. In the front, tie the ribbon in a large bow.
