Cash An Online Gaming Check

Online casinos offer players the chance to play their favorite games including card and slot games. Once you win at one of these gaming sites, you have the option of crediting the money back to your account and increasing your line of credit or having the check sent directly to your house. To redeem an online gaming check, you just need a place to cash it.

Instructions

1. Decide if you want to cash the check at your neighborhood bank, a store or a check cashing store. A check cashing store charges a small fee, usually 10 to 20 percent of the total check amount. If you want to keep the money out of your bank account though, this is a good option.

2. Ensure that your bank can cash the check, especially if it's a large amount. The user agreement you signed when establishing a bank account shows the amount the bank can cash at one time. If the check is for more than $5,000, then you might need to inform the bank and give it sufficient time to have enough cash on hand to cash your check.

3. Visit the bank where the check was drawn on and take two forms of identification. The online gaming site must draw the check from a specific bank, which is shown on the bottom or top of the check. You'll need two forms of identification and find a bank in your area.

4. Cash the check at your own bank by endorsing the back of the check and signing on the bottom line. The bank isn't required to cash the check and hand over the cash right away, especially if the information on the check was filled out by hand and not printed by a computer or printer. If the check is a fairly large amount, it might take several days for the bank to credit it to your account.

5. Take the check to a grocery store or a big box store in your area, but only if the check was printed and has a bank name attached to it. These stores are required to cash any check with that information, but the store may not be able to cash a large check.
