Create Your Own Red Carpet Event

Create Your Own Red Carpet Event

The red carpet is where stars want to look their best. With camera flashes lighting the way, the red carpet is reserved for only those with the exclusive invitation to attend the event. However, you don't have to be a Hollywood starlet to walk on the red carpet. For your next gathering, create your own red carpet event and give your guests the star treatment. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Make your own red carpet. Take two yards of red felt fabric and cut it in half so you have two 3-foot by 6-foot pieces. Use fabric glue to attach the two pieces together so they form one long piece of red carpet. Secure your red carpet to the floor with rolled-up duct tape underneath the carpet every three feet.

2. Pamper yourself the day of the event. Have someone do your hair, makeup and nails so you look and feel your best.

3. Relive some memorable red carpet fashion moments or create your own. Guests can dress to look like a celebrity, or they can put on their own formal wear and feel like a celebrity.

4. Encourage your guests to arrive to the party in a limousine.

5. Ask some of your friends to pose as paparazzi. Give them each cameras, equipped with a flash, and have them take pictures of your guests as they arrive. You can even have a camcorder set up with a reporter to conduct interviews about what your guests are wearing.

6. Escort your guests inside, making sure that only invited guests can come into the party.
