Fill Out A Wedding Invitation Reply

Fill Out a Wedding Invitation Reply

Most wedding invitations come with a response card. This is a card that you send back to the bride or her parents with an RSVP. It helps give the bride a final head count to provide to a caterer or a reception hall. There is a specific way to fill out an RSVP card that will help the couple better plan for the special day.

Instructions

1. Look for the response card within the invitation envelope. It is usually a small card with the bride or bride's family's address on one side.

2. Turn the card to the side that has an M with a blank after it. This is where your title goes. If you are a male, write Mr., and if you are a female, write Miss, Ms., or Mrs.

3. Write your name after the title.

4. Look at the inner envelope to see who exactly is invited. If it is addressed to you and a spouse, write your spouse's name after your name. If it is addressed to a specific date, write the person's name after your name. If the envelope says your name and guest, then write and guest after your name. You can specify who your guest will be if you prefer.

5. Look for the line that says something like will attend with pleasure or declines with regrets.

6. Check the line that applies to you. If you can attend, but your spouse cannot, put the number 1 in both blanks, instead of a check mark. This will make it clear to the bride as to how many are coming to the wedding.

7. Put the RSVP card in a small envelope if it comes with one. Some RSVP cards come in postcard style without an envelope. Make sure an address and stamp are on it, and put it in the mail.
