Saint Xavier
University is a Catholic university on the southwest side of Chicago that was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1846, making it the oldest Catholic university in Chicago. Stay at one of the hotels in the suburbs next door to help make your visit to the Windy City more comfortable.
Hilton Oak Lawn
The Hilton Oak Lawn is about three miles from both Saint Xavier University and Chicago's Midway Airport, which makes the hotel ideal for a quick weekend trip for a college visit. Oak Lawn is a border suburb to Chicago's southwest side, specifically Chicago's Beverly neighborhood, which is home to much of the city's Irish population. Alsip is about three miles south of Saint Xavier University, and only about 20 minutes from Midway, making it convenient for a fly-in, fly-out trip. The hotel is also close to interstates 294 and 55, which can take you to different areas of Chicagoland. The Courtyard Chicago Midway is located about six miles from Saint Xavier University, but it is only two blocks from Midway Airport and offers a 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle service. Check-in is 3 p.m., and checkout is noon, and an express service is offered for each. The hotel offers room service from 5 to 10 p.m., and it has coin laundry onsite and complimentary Wi-Fi. Travel downtown via the CTA Orange Line -- located at Midway -- and take a day trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo or take in the city sights via the observatories at the John Hancock Building or the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower.

The Days Inn Alsip is about three miles from the university, and it is conveniently located off Interestate 294.
