Instructions
Recycled Bingo Cards
1. Open the cereal boxes flat by cutting along the seams of the box. Draw 12-inch by 10-inch rectangles on the inside of the cereal box with a pencil. Repeat this process for the number of bingo cards you are making.
2. Lay the cardboard with drawn rectangles onto a self-healing cutting mat. Hold the metal ruler along the line of the rectangle as a guide for cutting. Use your craft knife to cut along the line. Repeat for each rectangle.
3. With the ruler and a pencil make a mark on each edge of the rectangles every 2 inches. You should have five marks on either side of the length of the rectangles and four marks on either side of the width of the rectangle.
4. Connect the marks by drawing a line across the rectangle with a pencil. Begin connecting the top two marks, followed by the next marks on either side of the rectangle and so on. After you have drawn five parallel lines going down the rectangle flip the rectangle to the side and repeat this process with the other marks. These drawn lines should intersect the first group of lines drawn, creating a grid. Repeat with each cardboard rectangle.
5. After all the marks are connected with drawn lines you should have 30 squares in the grid, five across the top and six lengthwise. Draw over the lines with a black marker.
6. Begin filling in the squares. In the top squares across write the letters B I N G O. There should be one letter in each square. Fill numbers into the squares on the bingo card. Select from the following numbers in the designated column; B: numbers 1-15, I: numbers 16-30, N: numbers 31-45, G: numbers 46-60 and O: numbers 61-75. The numbers should be chosen and written in random orders. Make sure each card has different numbers. Write the word FREE in the center square of each card.
