Creating slumber party invitations with computer software is an easy and cost effective alternative to commercial party invitations. Design software, such as Printshop Deluxe or Hallmark Card-Maker, aids novice users during the creative process. Instructions
1. Purchase and install computer design software.
2. Select the card size and number of folds from the software design tabs.
3. Create the front of the card. Insert a text box or headline using the software toolbox. Type "You are invited to a slumber party" or similar phrase in the text box, and the name of the birthday child to the front of the card.
4. Add a software stock party graphic or photo to the card front. Insert an object from a computer file by selecting the "Add" tab on the tools menu. Add slumber party graphics - sleeping bags, popcorn, princess or make-up themed objects, photo of birthday girl, party hats, birthday cake image, or birthday gift boxes recommended.
5. Select a card interior tab. Add a text box to input the slumber party details. Type party date, start and pick-up time, location, items guests need to bring to the gathering, i.e. sleeping bag etc. Include RSVP request if desired, and party host contact information for the parents of the guest to confirm.
6. Add a party graphic to the card interior by selecting the "Add" again. Insert slumber party graphics or photos of the birthday party child, party themed items such as party hats, birthday cake, boy or girl themed items such a make-up, jewelry, firetrucks, etc.
7. Select card back tab. Personalize the back with words or slumber party objects. Type "Come and help celebrate Suzie Q's 10th Birthday!" or similar wording with birthday present graphics or border.
8. Select the "Print Preview" tab from the print options.
9. Print the card according to program instructions on cardstock paper.
