The wedding envelope is almost as important as the invitation itself.
Wedding envelopes are an important part of your invitation. It's the first thing guests see before they open or read the invitation. As such, they should complement your invitations. You can use templates within Word 2007 to create and customize your wedding envelopes. Word allows you to customize the exact envelope size, and pick colors and fonts that match your theme. You can also address your envelopes directly on the computer to save time.
Instructions
1. Select "New" to open the "New Document" window.
2. Select "Envelopes" from the "Templates" section in the left pane. Matching results are displayed in the center.
3. Double-click a wedding envelope template. It loads on your page.
4. Go to the "Page Layout" tab and click the "Page Setup" dialog box launcher. To check or change the size of your envelope, select "Paper size" in the Page Setup dialog box. Select "Custom size" from the Paper size section and enter the dimensions of the envelope you want to create. Click "OK."
5. Click an object or shape you want to customize and click the "Format" tab. To change the shape or object's color, go to the "Shape Styles" group. Choose a color that matches your wedding color from "Shape Fill." To change an outline's color, click the "Shape Outline" button in the "Shape Styles" group.
6. Highlight any existing text in the return or delivery address. To customize the text, click the "Home" tab and select a font, color and style from the "Font" group. The envelopes are now ready for addressing.
