Create Free Invitations & Cards

Creating cards for invitations are great for announcing big events in your life. You can create invitations for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and any other special occasion. You can create one of a kind invitations that cater to your occasion and shows off your artistic talent. Create invitations using photos or clip art and artistic fonts to make your invitation special. Create thank you cards to accompany the invitations that you created or greeting cards for special people in your life.


Instructions


Single-Page, 5-Inch-By-7-Inches Invitation


1. Open up your invitation creator program.


2. Click "New" and select "Blank Pages" and choose "Invitations and Cards". Select a single page 5-inch-by-7-inch invitation.


3. Create a text box to type in your invitation information. Click your "Insert" tab and select "Text Box". Draw your text box. Click your mouse inside your text box to select your font, font size and color. Type in your invitation information. Create more text boxes if you desire.


4. Create a custom border for your invitation using a simple line shape. Click your "Insert" tab and select "Picture". Choose "Auto Shapes" and select the line tool. Draw a line for either your border or to section off your invitation information. If you do not want a border or to section your invitation, skip this step.


5. Insert a picture for your invitation. Click you "Insert" tab and select "Picture". Choose "From File". A pop-up will appear. Select your image file. Scale you image to fit your specifications. Scale your image larger or smaller by selecting your image guidelines and dragging the guideline with your mouse. To insert clip art click "Insert" and select "Picture". Choose "Clip Art" and type in the clip art you want to search (I.e. Leaves). If you do not want a picture or clip art, omit this step.


6. Save your file when you have finished and are satisfied with your invitation.


7. Print your invitation. Depending on your printer paper size you can get one or two invitations printed on the same page.


Bi-Fold Invitation/Card


8. Open up your invitation creator.


9. Choose "Blank Pages" and scroll down to "Greeting Cards." Select the bi-fold card size you prefer. Click "Create".


10. Work on the left side of your inviation. This will be the front of your invitation. Your right side will be the back of your invitation.


11. Create a text box to type in your greeting for the inviataion (I.e. It's a Party). Click "Insert" and select "Text Box". Draw your text box onto your invitation with your mouse.


12. Insert a picture or clip art for your invitation. Click "Insert" choose "Picture" and select "From File". A pop-up will appear. Select your image file and click "Open". To insert clip art choose "Clip Art" instead of "From File". Type in the clip art you want (i.e. leaves).


13. Work on the inside of your invitation. Select your second page at the bottom of your screen.


14. Work on the right side of your invitation. This is where you will put the pertinent information for invitation, such as the time, date, number to rsvp, and who the invitation is for.


15. Create a text box for the information. Click "Insert" and select "Text Box". Draw your text box with your mouse. Click your mouse inside your text box to select your font, font size and font color. Type your invitation information.


16. Save your file when you are satisfied with your invitation.


17.Print your invitation. Your invitation will print one invitation per page depending on the size of your printer paper.
