Decorated umbrella
Children love to play in the rain and splash in puddles. They also love carrying an umbrella. They will have more fun toting their umbrella if they make it themselves. Creating a custom umbrella is a fun craft for children of all ages.
Instructions
1. Use the puffy paint to write a cute message or a name. You can also use it to draw pictures, such as daisies. Allow the puffy paint to dry over night to make sure you don't smudge it in the following steps.
2. Place stickers randomly over the umbrella. Or be creative and make a picture with them. You can also use alphabet stickers to write a message or name if you prefer.
3. Lay newspaper over the work surface. Put dot's or lines of glue in various patterns on the umbrella. Sprinkle glitter over the glue and shake off.
4. Use ribbons to create bows around the handle. You can also tie the ribbon in a knot and let it hang down. Try gluing bows on the umbrella instead of using glitter.
5. Allow the umbrella to dry overnight. Spray with a coat of acrylic. Allow to dry and apply a second coat.
