Decorate A Table For A Luau Party

Decorate a luau-themed table with bright flowers.

If you are decorating a party space for a luau-themed bash, enhance the dinner table accordingly. Use Hawaiian luau-inspired decor items, such as fresh, tropical flowers, to create an authentic look. Fill the party space with bright, cheerful colors to create a festive, celebratory vibe. A luau decor theme is appropriate for a variety of special occasions, such as birthday bashes, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parties, and even bridal and baby showers. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Cover the table with a tablecloth featuring a solid tropical color, such as bright turquoise, pink, yellow or orange. Choose a tablecloth displaying large tropical flower patterns as another option.

2. Hang a luau-inspired faux grass skirt around the table. Pick a green plastic grass or raffia grass skirt depending on your preference.

3. Place one bamboo tiki table torch at each end of the table to create an authentic look and infuse the space with a glowing ambiance.

4. Create a fresh centerpiece with tropical fruit and flowers. Cut the top off of a pineapple and hollow it out using a sharp knife; use the fruit in a salad or on skewers. Place a vase inside the pineapple and fill it with water. Insert a vibrantly hued bouquet of birds-of-paradise, orchids and red ginger flowers into the vase.

5. Design luau-inspired place settings. Set white plates on top of bamboo chargers. Roll silverware in brightly colored cloth napkins and wrap them with pineapple-inspired rings. Place one bud vase filled with a single hibiscus stem next to each guest's place setting; party-goers can take the vases home as favors.
