How Make A Pineapple Into A Palm Tree

Make a miniature palm tree with pineapples and artifical foliage.

Pineapple palm trees serve as exquisite centerpieces for parties. You can make a pineapple palm tree for almost any occasion such as a wedding, luau or graduation party. The pineapple trees add flair and they impress guests. Pineapples form the base of the palm tree, and leaves are added to resemble an actual palm tree. The palm tree centerpieces can add beauty and interest to tables designated for appetizers. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Use a sharp knife to cut the top and bottom off the pineapples. Each end of the pineapple will need to remain flat, so try to keep the cuts straight and even.

2. Remove the cores from the pineapples. Leave at least 1 inch of the pulp intact to the skin. You will now have hollow pineapples. Place the pineapple fruit aside to serve later.

3. Insert the first skewer halfway into the top of the pineapple pulp. Place two more skewers in the pineapple 1 inch apart from each other. Place the second pineapple on top of these skewers and push down carefully to make them secure. Place three skewers into the top of the second pineapple in the same fashion, and then add the third pineapple.

4. Sit the stacked pineapples in the center of a serving tray. Add artificial palm tree leaves to the top of the stacked pineapples. You can also place a foliage plant into the top of the third pineapple. Distribute the foliage evenly around the top of the pineapple.

5. Add cut-up fruit around the pineapple palm tree. Pack the solid foods around the tree to help keep it stabilized.
