Fabricate A Money Box

Money boxes are used at many different types of parties. They can be set out at a graduation party to help raise money for the graduate. They can be placed as a centerpiece at a baby shower to help raise money for the new baby's needs. You can even make a money box for your family to save money for your next vacation. Fabricating a money box is not hard, and can be done in a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Choose your container. You can use whatever type container you have on hand. It can be a shoe box, or an old coffee can with a plastic lid.

2. Cut a rectangular hole out of the lid of the container with a utility knife. The hole needs to be big enough for an envelope to fit through it.

3. Cut wrapping paper to cover your money box. You can tape or glue the wrapping paper in place. Make sure you choose wrapping paper that fits the occasion. For example, you would use wrapping paper with baby bottles on it for a baby shower.

4. Spell out the name of the occasion with a set of sticky letters. Make sure you either place the sticky letters around the opening on top of the box, or directly in the front of the box so that everyone can see it.

5. Finish off your money box by adding some items from your craft supplies. You can cut birthday party hats out of construction paper and glue them on your box. You can make a smiley face out of pom poms. You can make a bow out of a piece of ribbon. The possibilities are endless. Just be creative.
