Find An Lds Church Ward

There were 134 active Mormon temples as of the end of 2010.


According to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2010 statistical report, there were over 14 million Mormons in 28,660 wards at the end of 2010. Wards divide Mormons into geographical areas for group events, meetings and other community activities. Mormons moving to a new location will need to make contact with their new ward. There are several ways to find out which LDS ward your neighborhood is a part of.


Instructions


1. Go to the official website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and click on "Tools."


2. Click on "Maps" in the "Tools" drop-down menu.


3. Enter the address that you want to look up ward information for, then click "Search." Your closest ward will pop up, along with information about the ward leader and church services.


4. Check the box next to "Other Wards & Branches" to bring up a list of local specialized wards. Young singles' wards, non-English language wards and student wards will all show up here.


5. Call the phone number listed for your ward leader and introduce yourself. He will be able to answer any questions about the ward.
