Get Free Tickets to Disney World
A trip to Disney World can be one of the most expensive vacations your family can take. The hotel prices in Orlando are through the roof, the parks are even more pricey, and don't forget that you'll have to eat while you're there. Instead of turning your trip to Disney World into a game of counting your change, find ways to get into Disney World for free. Your trip to Orlando may still dig deep into your wallet, but at least you won't have to worry about those expensive theme park tickets.
Instructions
1. Contact any friends or family members who live in Orlando. Because Orlando's economy is mostly funded by tourism, chances are a friend or family member in Orlando will work for Disney or know someone who works for the park. Disney cast members receive a certain number of free tickets a year.
2. Contact friends or family members who work for Disney, but do not live in Orlando. Many Disney cast members throughout the world--including Disney Store employees, people involved in Disney movie productions and Disney musicals on Broadwa--receive a specific number of free passes per year, depending on their length of employment with the Disney Co.
3. Apply for a job through Disney. This step can take a while and is not recommended if your trip is already planned, but it is possible to obtain your own Disney World passes by becoming a Disney employee. After working for the Disney Co. for a specific amount of time, usually a year, you are sometimes eligible to receive a specific amount of free passes to Disney World. If you are already employed by Disney, contact your employer for more information.
4. Ask about the rules and regulations of the free passes. Sometimes, the pass will require the Disney cast member to be present when his or her guests are entering the park. Usually, a Disney cast member has a Disney ID that can be scanned, confirming that the free passes have been used. If you are not present with the cast member and that person's ID, you will probably not be granted free admission to the theme park.
5. Try to obtain tangible tickets. Sometimes Disney will give out tickets to its employers, without the use of the ID scanning system. This may happen if the tickets have been sent by mail to the employee, or if the employee does not have a Disney ID. It is best to get these tickets, because you don't have to rely on the help of a friend or family member to get inside the park, and the person usually will not have to be present with you during your visit to the park.
