"Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas," is the greeting you receive as you enter into the city of Las Vegas. When staying in Las Vegas, there are a lot of options in hotel accommodations. And whether you're going to Las Vegas to gamble or just to get away, you can get a free room upgrade to make your time even better.
Instructions
1. Choose the dates that you're going to be staying in Las Vegas. Because hotels can fill up fast with conventions and other activities taking place in Vegas, try to pick a time that will give you the best options available and reserve your room early.
2. Become a member of a hotel's frequent traveler program. To receive offers from hotels on a regular basis, which gives you the best chance in getting room upgrades, apply for their guest rewards services. Most of these programs are free.
3. Join the high roller's club. If the hotel you're considering in Las Vegas also has a casino on site, applying for membership to their casino programs will open the door to more upgrade opportunities.
4. Ask about upgrades when you make your reservations. This may not give you success in getting a free room upgrade, because hotels need to fill their rooms at the highest rates they can before offering special deals.
5. Check in a little early. If the hotel's check-in time is 3:00 p.m., arrive at 2:00 p.m. to check-in. Most guests check in at or later than the regular check-in time, so by arriving early you'll have a better chance in receiving a free room upgrade.
6. Be nice. Las Vegas is a very busy city and the hotel clerks may get treated poorly more than they care for. By being a courteous guest, you're likely to be rewarded favorably.
7. Request other upgrades. In addition to free room upgrades (bigger and better rooms or suites), you can also ask to receive vouchers for the casino, a free breakfast, as well as travel passes for the hotel's transportation or shuttle.
