Get A New Dance Song On The Xbox

"Dance Central," Harmonix's contribution to the numerous games released to promote Microsoft's Kinect controller, features over 30 songs on its disc with additional songs available for purchase through the Xbox 360 Game Marketplace. At the time of this publication, new dance songs in the Game Marketplace cost 240 Microsoft points, which is the equivalent of $3. To purchase a new song, you must navigate to the Game Marketplace and download the content, which will then automatically appear in-game.

Instructions

1. Sign into your profile on the Game Marketplace on the Xbox 360 website. Click the search bar in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and type in the name of the song you want to download. Click "Download to Xbox 360" if you wish to get this song.

2. Sign in to your profile on your Xbox 360 console. If you elect to purchase your song through the console itself, press "A" on "Game Marketplace" and "All Add-Ons," followed by "D" and "Dance Central." Select the song you wish to download, followed by "Confirm Download."

3. Press the silver guide button in the center of your controller. Navigate to the first menu and press "A" on "Active Downloads." If you purchased the game through the console, the download will already be active. Otherwise, press "A" on the song you purchased from the computer under "Pending Downloads." This activates the download. When it finishes, it will automatically appear in the game for you to pick.

4. Load "Dance Central" to the main menu. Pick any of the modes until you come to the song list. The song you just downloaded will appear in the song list.
