Dress Like The 90s

dress like the 90s

Sooner or later you will need to know dress like the 90s. Eventually, every era comes back into fashion, at least for a little while. The 90s may not have stood out with any one style but that may just be because we are still so close to it. The 90s was a time of grunge rock, the internet & we were even introduced to the TV show Friends. Here is get the style of the 90s.

Instructions

1. Show off that belly button. Shirts in the 90s generally came either right to the waist band or even a few inches above it. Use patterns like stripes or see if that Union Bay company is still in business. No one really knew where Union Bay was, but most everyone in the 90s had at least one shirt with this embroidered across the chest.

2. Ditch the low riders. These didn't become popular until later. The high waisted jeans in the 90s are now known as "Mom" jeans. Shop for red tag levi jeans which were the must haves.

3. Flannel isn't just for lumber jacks. The grunge style made it popular for members of both genders to wear flannel shirts.

4. Overalls aren't just for farmers. People said that these were the most comfortable thing ever. They were worn by many people, but mostly women.

5. Vests aren't just for bankers. Women often wore bodysuits in the 90s with a loose vest over it.

6. When you have to dress up go for a loose casual dress. This can even be a baby doll style just as long as it doesn't fit you very well & has unattractive large buttons on it. If the occasion is more formal look at the cast of 90210 & go for a short, tight, polyester lace dress.

7. For footwear consider platform shoes or combat boots.

8. The quintessential 90s haircut was inspired by Rachel from Friends. She had highlighted hair with tons of layers in it.
