Decorate For A Divorce Party

Divorce party decorations can set the mood for a fun, festive celebration. Several companies now manufacture lighthearted decorations for just such an occasion. Most divorce parties are thrown by women, so many decorations are focused on moving on and empowerment from a woman's point-of-view.

Instructions

Choose the Decorations

1. Choose a theme for the party and decide what decorations you'll need.

2. Shop around at party supply stores or look for divorce party decorations online (see Resources below).

3. Shop at ShinDigz online if you've chosen a theme in addition to a divorce party theme, such as a fiesta (see Resources below).

4. Decide how much you'll need of each item and select the items.

5. Order flowers one to two weeks before the party and pick them up the day before.

6. Calculate how much time you'll need to decorate for your party. Include any additional time needed to blow up balloons, hang banners, set up dartboards with your ex's photo or arrange flowers.

7. Make sure you've got all of the supplies you need a couple of days in advance, especially scissors and tape.

8. Decorate the day before the party if you're having it at your house, or as early as you can if you're going to a restaurant or public place.

9. Arrange flowers a few hours ahead of time before any guests arrive. Straighten any areas of the house that guests will use.
