Decorate For An Outdoor Bbq

Decorate your porch for an outdoor party.

Summertime and barbecues go hand-in-hand. If you're planning a backyard bash filled with friends, family and tasty grilled food, decorate the space with a festive flair. Welcome guests to the party with seasonal decor items, such as flowers and vibrant fabrics. If the party will last until the evening hours, don't forget to provide outdoor lighting options. Create a warm and inviting outdoor space in which to eat, drink and mingle under the sun and stars. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Cover the picnic or patio table with a breezy, summer-inspired cloth. Opt for a plastic tablecloth for easy clean-up. Choose a table covering featuring a vibrant design, such as yellow and white stripes, blue and white checks or bright pink, green and orange flower patterns.

2. Use vibrantly hued plastic or tin pails, which will add color to the table, to hold picnic necessities. Set several pails along the center of the table and fill them with rolled napkins, utensils and condiment bottles.

3. Create a casual, summer-inspired table centerpiece. Fill a square glass vase with water-filled clear gel beads to create a refreshing, icy look. Insert the stems of fresh flowers, such daisies, orange, pink and yellow tulips or purple hydrangeas into the vase; the stems will drink the water from the beads. Layer vibrantly hued jelly beans into the vase and insert stems of faux flowers as an alternative option.

4. Provide plenty of decorative lighting options. Hang colorful solar-powered paper lanterns from tree branches above the party table. Wrap elegant white string lights around tree trunks and patio railings to add soft illumination to the party space. Fill glass canning or jelly jars with colorful candles and set them around the table for a country-inspired look.
