Much of the d cor and favors can be easily crafted and put together by the bridal party. Hawaiian-style weddings can be recognized by the leis worn by the guests, Hawaiian shirts, the abundance of flowers, candles and shells, tiki torches and the traditional roasted pig.
Leis for Guests
A lei is a necklace, usually given to visitors of the Hawaiian islands. There are two kinds haku leis, small ones worn on the head and larger ones worn around the neck. The bridal party can make leis to give to the wedding guests. They are easily made by stringing flowers together using a needle and thick thread. Leis can be constructed with any medium-sized flowers.
Plumeria Wedding Favors
Plumeria is one of the most common flowers in Hawaii. If you are having the wedding in Hawaii, it makes a great wedding favor because guests will always remember your wedding when they see the plant bloom. Use 8-inch clay pots with drainage holes and fill it with a mix of dirt and sand. Bury one-third of the plumeria stalk and water it. Use a ribbon for decoration and to attach directions on grow and maintain the plumeria plant. Place one plant at each guest setting.
Sand and Candle Centerpieces
Craft centerpieces using large, wide-mouthed glass vases of any shape and fill them with 2 to 3 inches of sand. Nestle a pillar candle in the sand in the center of each vase and surround it with shells and flowers. Place the piece on the center of the table and surround it with rose petals. Light the candles prior to the guests sitting down.

Create a disk of Hawaiian music for your guests to enjoy after the wedding. You can buy CDs and their cases inexpensively online and make multiple copies of your own personalized wedding CD. Create customized labels using label-maker software.
