Horseshoe Resort
Located just 20 minutes from Elmvale in Barrie, the Horseshoe Resort offers a variety of luxury accommodations and a bounty of outdoor activities. In the winter, the resort offers skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and tubing in Horseshoe Valley. When the snow is gone, the resort serves as a "base camp" for golfing, off-road Segway adventures, tree top treking, off-road motorcycling, and fishing and kayaking in nearby Georgian Bay.
Accommodation options at Horseshoe include a variety of rooms and suites as well as a three-bedroom chalet. Rooms sleep from two to four and offer small work desks and small seating areas. Room comforts include TVs with movies and video games, high-speed wireless Internet access and in-room coffee makers. Suites have the same guest capacities and offer all the amenities offered with the rooms. In addition, they feature larger seating areas, whirlpool baths and electric fireplaces. Saga Resort
Located in Wasaga Beach, just eight miles from Elmvale, the Saga Resort offers a large assortment of motel rooms, mini-condos and cottages just a three-minute walk from the Georgian Bay beach. All accommodations come with full kitchens, full baths, cable television and air conditioning. Many also offer such added amenities as fireplaces, Jacuzzis, DVD players, private patios and private picnic areas.
