The monorail can transport you to the Magic Kingdom in minutes.
The Walt Disney World Resort Monorail makes a loop that begins at the Magic Kingdom theme park and makes stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center, Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort before returning to the Magic Kingdom. At the Transportation and Ticket Center, you can switch to a separate monorail line for transportation to Epcot. All of the Disney-owned resorts offer bus transportation to the other parks, and offer perks such as extra hours in the theme parks on selected days and the ability to charge your purchases in the theme parks back to your hotel room.
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Contemporary Resort is the only hotel designed to let the monorail pass right through the center of the building, so you can board without ever stepping foot outside the hotel. This resort offers the easiest access to the Magic Kingdom, as it is connected by a walking path and offers boat transportation in addition to the monorail. Rooms are divided into the main tower and the garden wing, and offer views including the resort grounds, Bay Lake and the Magic Kingdom. You can dine with Mickey and his friends at Chef Mickey's buffet, catch a bird's eye view of Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks from the California Grill restaurant on the top floor, enjoy cuisine inspired by fresh ingredients in a casual atmosphere at The Wave or pick up a quick meal to go from the Contempo Cafe. The lakeside Sammy Suvall Watersports Center lets you try parasailing, water skiing or jet skiing, or you can have fun on land on the volleyball courts, at the arcade or on the resort's sandy beach.
