Hotels On The Monorail In Disney World

Take a monorail from select resorts to enjoy fireworks at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World.


Hotels on the monorail in Disney World offer beautiful rooms, on-site restaurants and shopping and a fast and convenient way to reach the Magic Kingdom or Epcot theme parks. Each of the hotels on the monorail in Disney World has a different style, and offers decor, food, merchandise and recreation options designed with a theme in mind. Each monorail hotel offers in room coffee makers, wall safes, ironing supplies, hair dryers, refrigerators and dry cleaning services. Three Disney resorts hotels are on the monorail and one Disney Vacation Club location as well, the Bay Lake Towers.


Contemporary Resort and Bay Lakes


Disney's Contemporary Resort is not just on the monorail, the monorail runs right through the middle of the main resort building. This resort offers unparalleled views of the Magic Kingdom and is home to four table service restaurants, including the California Grill located on the top floor.


Construction on the adjacent Bay Lake Towers was completed in 2009. While the Bay Lake Towers shares an address and monorail with the Contemporary, it is a Vacation Club resort, and offers rooms with full kitchen and dining areas.

Polynesian Resort


Disney's Polynesian Resort features tropical themes and Hawaiian food specialties. The Polynesian is a popular honeymoon destination, and is home to a nightly luau featuring characters from Disney's Lilo and Stitch movie and television series. The Polynesian offers guests a tropical oasis complete with a volcano themed swimming pool, beach and marina.

Grand Floridian


Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is festooned with Victorian trimmings, from the white grand piano in the lobby to the soaring glass-walled elevator and two story bird cages. The Grand Floridian is currently Disney's most expensive resort, and is home to six popular restaurants. The Grand Floridian also offers easy access to the adjacent wedding pavilion and it is not unusual to see a wedding or reception in progress at this resort. Amenities include two pools, a marina and beach, multiple dining options, a gaming arcade and a full service spa and salon.
