Visitors to Eleele can enjoy nearby Waimea Canyon.
Part of the south shore of the Hawaiian island of Kauai, Eleele, Hawaii, can be found near Hanapepe Bay and the Port Allen Airport. Home to nearly 2,000 residents as of 2008, Eleele features several small locally owned shops and restaurants. Area attractions include Hanapepe Park, the Kiahuna golf courses and Hanapepe Overlook with views of the harbor and beaches. While there are no hotels in Eleele, visitors only need travel a short distance to find accommodations.
Inn Waimea
Six miles west of Eleele sits the city of Waimea, home of the Inn Waimea. The Inn Waimea features two distinct options for accommodations, four suites in the main building and three multi-room cottages, one located directly on the beach.
The suites and cottages may be rented on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis and come with a variety of amenities including king-size beds, Jacuzzi tubs and full kitchens. Inn Waimea's convenient location allows guests to walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. Four of Hawaii's national parks, Waimea Canyon, Kokee forest, Napali Coast and Polihale, are within easy driving distance of Inn Waimea.
West Inn Kauai
Just down the street from the Inn Waimea is the West Inn Kauai, featuring standard rooms and one-bedroom suites with full kitchens. Room amenities include refrigerators and freezers, microwaves and free Wi-Fi. The West Inn Kauai is within walking distance of the beach, as well as shopping and dining options like Shrimp Station.
The historic Waimea Theater can be found just down the street from the West Inn and it screens newly released movies. Other attractions nearby include Waimea River Park and the Waimea State Recreation Pier.
Kalaheo Inn
Under a five-mile drive east of Eleele is the small village of Kalaheo and the Kalaheo Inn. The inn features 15 private suites with one, two or three bedrooms, along with full kitchens or kitchenettes. Sitting at the foot of the Kauai Mountains, the Kalaheo Inn provides guests with a tropical atmosphere complete with numerous on-site gardens.
The Kalaheo Steak and Ribs restaurant is located on site and features steaks, ribs and fresh-caught seafood. Guests can enjoy the beaches of Poipu, a short 15-minute drive away or Kalaheo's own Kukuiolono Golf Course, which costs only $9 (as of 2011) for the nine-hole course full of ocean views.
Bamboo Jungle House
Also located in Kalaheo, about six miles from Eleele, the Bamboo Jungle House is a secluded bed and breakfast with three private rooms. Special amenities at the Bamboo Jungle House include an outdoor swimming pool, lava rock spa, on-site massages, complimentary beach gear and a full breakfast every morning that includes local Kauai coffee.
The Bamboo Jungle House is 10 minutes from Koloa Town shopping and the beaches of Poipu, where visitors can enjoy surfing, snorkeling and boat tours.
