Instructions
1. Open the Microsoft Works application. Click on the "Start Menu" icon. Select "Programs" then "Microsoft Works." Usually, this program comes with new computers. If you do not have the program, you can try it for free, then purchase from the Microsoft website. Other processing applications you can use include Invitation Manager and Party Guestware.
2. Download a Microsoft Works invitation template. This is just a guide to create exactly what you want for your photo birthday party invitation. All information on the template is changeable. After you download, click on the file. The Works template will appear in a new window.
3. Click on the front side of the photo birthday party invitation. The template will display a front and back side so you can print both versions. Press the "Insert" tab on the toolbar. Scroll down to "Picture" and then select "File." A browser of your hard drive will be present. Find the image of the person you wish to display. Click the "Insert" button.
4. Change the font, text color and size on the quick toolbar. Press the arrow key to scroll through the fonts. The message will be in display above the photo of the person whose birthday you are celebrating. You could use "You're Invited," "Join Us" or "Celebrate."
5. Add the date, time and other information on the back of the photo birthday card. You can place a smaller picture of the birthday guest in this section with "Insert", "Picture" and then "From File." Change the font style to elegant or wacky.
6. Print the photo birthday party invitations. Obtain graphic printer paper. Insert the paper into the printer. Click on the printer icon in the second toolbar. Change the "Print Range" to "All." Decide on the number of copies. This would be the number of people invited to the party. Click "OK." Turn over the invitations to print the backside.
