Make a Dora the Explorer Birthday Cake

1. Bake the sheet cake. A standard half-sheet cake is roughly 8 inches by 16 inches by 2 inches. You can make one layer or two, depending on your preference. You can also make any flavor you prefer.

2. Use blue frosting to decorate the top half of the cake. You want to use light blue frosting to create a blue sky. Add bits of white frosting to create clouds.

3. Add green frosting to the bottom for grass. Use cake topper decorations to add to the topography of trees, hills and walls.

4. Add a map icon to one corner. Map and Backpack are important parts of the Dora the Explorer story. Map can announce the birthday wish. Remember Map's instructions are usually to go to three different points or be simply: Happy Birthday Name.

5. Add Dora figure. The Dora figure is the most important part of the Dora cake. The great thing about Dora the Explorer birthday cake decorations that use toppers is that the little girls can play with the toys afterward.
