Make A Malibu Hurricane

Use a standard cocktail shaker to make the drink.

Mix a Malibu Hurricane to enjoy at home. You can adjust the strength of the drink by increasing or decreasing the amount of alcohol you include. The drink tastes fruity and sweet. It has a reddish-orange color to it. Malibu Hurricanes can be mixed or blended. Serve the drink at a tropical-theme party --- the coconut rum and pineapple juice fit well into this party idea. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

On the Rocks

1. Put four to six ice cubes inside of a cocktail shaker.

2. Pour the pineapple, grenadine and orange juice into the shaker.

3. Pour both types of rum into the shaker.

4. Put the lid on the cocktail shaker. Shake the cocktail shaker for 15 seconds.

5. Remove the lid to the cocktail shaker. Pour the drink into a glass. If you do not want the ice in the glass, strain it out of the shaker.

Frozen

6. Pour the pineapple juice, grenadine and orange juice into the blender.

7. Pour the two rums into the blender.

8. Pour half a cup of ice or three to four ice cubes into the blender. Close the top of the blender. Blend for 30 to 45 seconds or until the ice is well crushed. The exact amount of time depends on the type of blender you use and the size of the ice cubes.

9. Turn off the blender and pour the mix into a cocktail glass to serve.
