Flip flops appeal to little girls, teenagers and even adult women. This makes flip flops a great party theme no matter what the average age of your guests is. Instructions
1. Decorate with flip flops. Buy three pairs of cheap flip flops, and hot glue them to a basic floral wreath. Hang your creation on your front door to greet your guests. Also, buy material with images of flip flops on it to use as a table cloth. Be sure to go around the edges with pinking shears to keep the material from raveling off.
2. Stock up on cheap flip flops as well as a wide range of gross grain ribbon, curly ribbon, cotton material, tulle and inexpensive beads. Then, during the party, pass out pairs of flip flops to guests and have them put their own personal style on the shoes by decorating them. Have on hand scissors, glue and measuring tape for the project.
3. Incorporate the flip flop theme into your food. For instance, pipe icing onto Nutter Butter cookies so that they look like flip flops. You can also use vegetables, such as cucumbers and carrots sliced long ways, and pipe ranch across one side to resemble a flip flop.
4. Have white T-shirts and fabric paint on hand so that your guests can create a flip flop T-shirt. To do so, have the guests trace the bottom of a plain, bare flip flop onto the shirt and paint. Once dry, they can paint on the details of the strap.
5. Give out flip flop party favors before guests leave. Initial buttons for flip flops make great favors, as well as toenail polish with decals so that your guests can dress up their toes for when they wear their flip flops.
