Drew Barrymore
has grown up in the public eye. Her hairstyles have changed as often as her roles. She has magnificently pulled off many looks over the years, but most commonly and currently sports a hairstyle that flatters her natural hair. Use the tips below to have the long and wavy hairstyle of Drew Barrymore as styled by celebrity hairstylist Barbara Olvera. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Cut hair to just below shoulder length. Drew's hair is cut a little shorter on the top and in front, with the longest part in the back. Long layers are added around the face for the most volume.
2. Spread a gel mousse throughout damp hair using your hands. Hair should not be sopping wet, or too dry. Use enough gel to fill your palm, and rub between both hands before applying to the hair.
3. Blow dry hair with an electric blow dryer with your head upside down. This creates the most volume.
4. Use large rollers or a 2-inch barrel curling iron to add waves to straight hair. After curling hair, run your fingers through it while it is hot to create natural-looking waves.
5. Tame and de-frizz to get this wavy look on naturally curly hair. Instead of a gel mousse, use a straightening balm in damp hair. Blow dry, and then curl ends with a large curling iron. Finish the look with a pomade to reduce frizz.
6. Get Drew's color seen in Charlie's Angels, Duplex and Fever Pitch by dying hair a warm honey golden brown color. Then highlight with strawberry-toned golden highlights.
