Make A Brochure For An Island Project

Designing a brochure for an island is a simple, fun project for school.

Designing a brochure is a very simple process that will allow you to use your creativity. A brochure is essentially an advertisement, on a piece of paper, that uses visual, writing and critical thinking skills. It usually is folded into three parts, where each part serves as its own advertisement for a particular section. Brochures are very versatile and can be done completely by hand, using a computer, or from a mixture of the two.

Instructions

Designing a Brochure

1. Read over the information your teacher has provided. Your project will likely be something that utilizes some of the major themes or concepts that you've been studying.

2. Sketch out a rough draft that advertises the island. Try to answer questions such as: What is the island's name? What do you do on the island? What does the island look like? How do you get there? Try to keep your project's theme in mind while you think of things to add to your brochure.

3. Fold your paper into three sections.

4. Design your brochure using the colored pencils. You might wish to include things such as fictional amenities like hotels and restaurants. Put something eye-catching on the outside of the brochure. It might be easier to divide the inside of the brochure into sections, such as Places to Stay, Places to Eat, and Things to Do.
