Give A Bridal Shower Gift

Bridal shower gifts can be handmade or purchased from a registry.

Bridal showers are given to the bride to help her prepare for her new role as a wife, and to help her set up her home. Couples often register for gifts that they want or need, however, if the couple does not register it is appropriate for guests to choose a gift they feel would suit the couple. During the shower, the bride will open the gift so it is important to wrap the present elegantly and include a card.

Instructions

1. Check the couples gift registry if available. The registry information should be included with the shower invitation and it should advise guests as to what the couple needs for their new home.

2. Decide on the amount of money you want to spend on the gift. The Knot recommends giving what you can afford but most shower gifts range from $25 to $75 in price. If budget is an issue, consider splitting the price of a shower gift with a friend or group of people.

3. Focus on the type of shower to choose an appropriate gift. For example, if the shower is focused on couples then gift the bride and groom with barware or a home d cor piece. Showers that are based on the bride solely can include dishes and linens.

4. Wrap the present using wrapping paper or if the present is oddly shaped, place it in a nice bag with tissue paper. Include either a purchased card or create one yourself with a message to the bride with a signature so she knows who the gift is from.
