Eat On A Budget In Disney World

Eat on a Budget in Disney World

A trip to Walt Disney World can create memories to last a lifetime. It is also quite expensive, but there are ways to enjoy your meals in the Disney parks without breaking the bank.

Instructions

Eat on a Budget in Walt Disney World

1. Research the Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan, or DDP as it is known in the parks, is available to Disney resort guests who book Magic Your Way packages which include accommodations and park passes. Disney offers several dining plans. Some plans come with table service options, others are strictly quick service. Call (407) 939-7675 for reservation package and dining options.

The Quick Service Plus dining plan is a great option for guests who like to enjoy table service meals or character dining. It also allows for a quick service option and a bonus snack for each member of your family every day of your stay. And since you pay for the dining plan up front, with your hotel and park admission, you do not have to worry about menu prices for the duration of your stay.

2. Watch for free dining offers. It never gets better than free. In the past, Disney has offered free dining through the Disney Dining Plan to guests at its resort hotels. Traditionally these offers have appeared late in March. However, Disney does not comment on special offers and promotions before they become available to the public.

3. Keep it quick. Quick service dining at Walt Disney World can be your most cost effective option when buying meals in the parks, especially if you share meals. Disney is known for its large portions. An order of Fish and Chips at Cookes of Dublin in the Downtown Disney Marketplace, makes a great meal for two

4. Know where to find the cheap eats. Each theme park has a fruit stand with offerings that will usually on cost $1. Magic Kingdom has fruit stands located on Main Street, at Liberty Square Market and in Mickey's Toontown Fair. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Anaheim Produce on Sunset Blvd. At Epcot, you can find fruit at the Refreshment Outpost between China and Germany in World Showcase. Animal Kingdom offers fruit at Harambe Market in Africa.
