Create a cute invitation for a hog roast.
A hog roast is a casual, outdoor party that many people like to throw when the weather outside is nice. Most people roast a whole hog for many, many hours and then serve the tender meat with a variety of side dishes when it is ready. Pig
One of the simplest ways to create a hog roast invitation is to make one that is shaped like a hog. Purchase pig-shaped invitations from a store or online or make them yourself. Choose a stencil shaped like a pig and trace it onto a piece of folded card stock. Cut the shape out, creating an invitation that is shaped like a pig. Color the invitation and glue on a twisted pink pipe cleaner for the tail. Write the party information on the inside of the card.
Hawaiian
Hog roasts are a popular type of gathering in Hawaii, so consider choosing a Hawaiian theme for your hog roast. Choose an invitation with a Hawaiian lei printed on the front, or even a pig wearing a lei. Inform your guests on the inside of the invitation that they are coming to a Hawaiian luau and ask them to wear their favorite floral shirts or dresses.
Country
Choose a country theme for your hog roast and let the theme come through with your invitations. Select invitations that look like a red checkered picnic blanket. Write something on the front of the invitation that informs guests of the theme, such as "You're Invited to a Down Home Hog Roast" and glue a thin rope around the edges of the front of the invitation. Place the rest of your invitation information inside the card.
Intricate Invitations
If you want to get even more creative with your invitation, consider making some that are a bit too intricate. However, be aware that these could be difficult or expensive to send through the mail, so you might need to hand-deliver them. For example, have bottles of barbecue sauce printed with a label that doubles as your invitation or make your invitations using large paper plates.
