Instructions
Tapered Bob
1. Comb and de-tangle your hair thoroughly. Part your hair evenly down the middle.
2. Separate your hair into five equal sections. Use the bobby pins to pin up the top and side sections of your hair. Leave the fifth section in the very back of your head down.
3. Comb the section of hair in the back of your head straight down your back. Grab the hair tightly with one hand and remove one inch at a time until it is at a desired length. Use sharp hair cutting scissors for this task.
4. Cut the sections at either side of your head, beneath the two top hair sections, 1 inch shorter than the back section you just cut.
5. Cut the remaining hair sections, making them the same length as the sections you just cut at each side of your head. Remove the bobby pins for each section as they are being cut. Style your hair as desired.
Layered Bob
6. Hold your head upside down as you bend downward at the waist. Comb all of your hair downward from the nape of your neck. Gather the hair in a ponytail shape at the top of your head.
7. Brush your hair back from the sides and front of your head to evenly detangle and sort the hair in a straight high ponytail at the very top of your head. Secure it with the ponytail holder.
8. Slide the ponytail holder upward from your scalp up the length of the ponytail until only the hair you want removed is poking out as the ponytail. Cut off this length of hair in one or two firm cuts with a pair of sharp scissors. Remove the ponytail holder and allow your layered bob-cut to fall in place naturally. Style as desired.
